

Alisma plantago-aquatica, known as water plantain, is a perennial aquatic plant that belongs to the Alismataceae family. It is found in wet areas such as lakes, ponds, and marshes. It has lance-shaped leaves that can either float on the water or stand above it, and it produces small white flowers in branched panicles during the summer.
