Fast-growing evergreen tree with drooping, aromatic foliage. Produces reddish fruit clusters, used as a spice similar to pink pepper. Drought-resistant and adaptable to various soils.
Schinus molle, commonly known as the Peruvian pepper tree or false pepper tree, is an ornamental evergreen tree that can reach up to 15 meters in height. Its weeping foliage gives it an elegant appearance and provides pleasant shade. Small yellow flowers give way to clusters of reddish fruits, which have a spicy aroma and are used as a substitute for pink pepper in cooking. Highly drought-resistant, it thrives in poor soils, making it an excellent choice for low-maintenance gardens and dry or Mediterranean climates.
