The Basella Rubra, sometimes named as Basella Alba Var. Rubra, is also known as the spinach of juggling or red Chinese spinach, is a plant that grows tangled and perennial, and is highly appreciated in various tropical countries because of its edible foliage. This plant is very vigorous and can reach up to 10 meters in length. Its leaves have a similar shape to that of a heart and are somewhat thick, but its flavor is soft and pleasant.
It is similar to Basella Alba but with reddish stems instead of green.
