Lycium barbarum, commonly known as goji or goji berries, is a deciduous shrub native to Asia. It can grow up to a height of 1 to 3 meters, with long, slender branches often bearing thorns. The leaves are green and elongated, while its flowers are small, purple or lavender. It produces bright red berries, highly valued for their nutritional properties.
