Perennial plant that can remain in the same location for 5-6 years. Very easy to cultivate in perennial flower beds and highly valued in naturalistic garden designs. Produces vivid, decorative flower heads that stand out throughout the summer months. Yarrow is ideal for dried arrangements, as it preserves its colour exceptionally well, and is also suitable for fresh cut flowers.
Traditionally used to make herbal bathing brooms for aromatic baths. Can be planted singly or in groups. It adapts to most soils and growing conditions, although waterlogged ground should be avoided. Thrives in sunny positions; when grown in partial shade, flower colours become more intense.
