This variety is a cross between iceberg- and Romaine-type lettuces. Romaine lettuce gave the variety its appearance, and iceberg - colour, juiciness, and crispness of the leaves. Variety is resistant to powdery mildew, internal necrosis. Grown outdoors, under covers or in hydroponics. The soil for lettuce should be loose, fertile, moist and non-acidic (pH 6.0-6.8). When the soil is too acidic, lettuce grows poorly, their heads gets smaller and the leaves turn yellow.
