A high-yielding variety of chillies. Plants are compact and suitable for growing in pots. Fruits are hot, slightly wrinkled and 6-10 cm long. As they mature, their colour changes from green to yellow. Ripe “Hot Lemon” peppers have a distinct aftertaste of lemongrass and citric fruits. Suitable for use in salsas, and also for drying and preserving. Gives a special flavour to baked goods, stews and sauces. The fruit has a capsaicin content of 30-50 thousand on the Scoville scale (SHU).
