Hibiscus sabdariffa plants
Hibiscus sabdariffa, commonly known as roselle, is an annual shrub in the Malvaceae family, native to West Africa. It can reach up to 2 meters in height and has lobed green leaves. Its flowers are yellow or pink with a red center, but what stands out are its bright red, fleshy calyces that surround the seeds. These calyces are used to make refreshing infusions and juices.
