Lettuce with green, soft, lobed leaves, perfect for fresh and nutritious salads.
Lactuca sativa ‘Green Oakleaf’ is a loose-leaf variety with tender, finely lobed leaves of deep green color, adding freshness and texture to salads and cold dishes. It grows in open rosettes and stands out for its delicate, slightly sweet flavor and crisp texture.
It adapts to various soil types, prefers sunny or partially shaded spots, and requires regular watering without waterlogging. Ideal for successive sowings and continuous harvest, it is a great choice for urban gardens or container cultivation.
Sow seeds from late winter to spring, in trays or directly in the soil. Place them on a fine, moist substrate without covering too much. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged and ensure good light. Germination usually occurs within 7-12 days. When seedlings have several true leaves, transplant them leaving 20-30 cm between plants for proper rosette development.
