Northern Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, in Spain it grows mainly in the Sierras de Cartagena and in the Doñana National Park. It has been used to restore forest areas of Malaga, Granada and Almería. It has a great adaptation to drought and great ornamental value for gardens . It usually has conical or egg form , with gray branches as a candlestick .
