Anthriscus cerefolium, commonly known as chervil or garden chervil, is an herbaceous plant belonging to the Apiaceae family. It is native to Europe and southwestern Asia and is cultivated in many parts of the world for its delicate, aromatic leaves, which are used in cooking as a culinary herb.

It can be propagated from seeds sown in spring or autumn, and seedlings typically emerge within a few weeks. Chervil can also be grown in pots or containers, making it suitable for small gardens or those without garden space.
