It is ideal for pots, balconies, and urban gardens, offering flavor and fragrance even in small spaces. The plant produces short flower spikes with lilac or white flowers that attract pollinators and can be pinched off to prolong leaf production.

Its compact habit and easy cultivation make it suitable for both ornamental and culinary purposes. It is perfect for seasoning fresh dishes, sauces, salads, and homemade infusions.

How to sow the seeds

Sow seeds on a light, well-drained substrate, scattering them on the surface and covering them with a very thin layer of soil or vermiculite. Keep the soil consistently moist with gentle misting, and place the tray in a bright location out of direct sunlight. Germination usually occurs in 5-10 days at stable temperatures between 18 and 22 ºC.

Once seedlings have several true leaves, transplant them 20-25 cm apart to allow compact growth. Pinching the terminal shoots encourages branching and extends the leaf harvest.
