Aristotelia chilensis, maqui, is native to Chile and has long been associated with Mapuche culture. It produces dark berries and has value as a fruiting, ornamental and botanical plant.

Depending on conditions and pruning, it can grow as a shrub or small tree. It is a fine choice for growers interested in South American species with cultural history and attractive fruit.

How to sow maqui seeds
