Aleurites moluccana, known as kukui or candlenut, is a tropical tree with very oily seeds. The source information notes its use in Malaysian and Indonesian cuisine.

Beyond its cultural and botanical interest, it is an attractive species for collections of tropical trees. It should be grown with enough space and under conditions suitable for warm-climate plants.

How to sow kukui seeds

Sow the seeds in a deep, airy and well-drained medium. Keep moisture steady without waterlogging and place the seed tray in a warm, bright position.
