Cherry tomato, Red - Seeds
Lycopersicon lycopersicum
Small, round tomato with bright red color, sweet and juicy, ideal for salads, appetizers, and sauces.
Red Cherry Tomato is a Solanum lycopersicum variety characterized by small, round fruits with bright red color. Its flavor is sweet and aromatic, and the juicy texture makes it perfect for fresh consumption, salads, appetizers, snacks, or homemade sauces.
It requires a warm, sunny climate, fertile, loose, well-drained soil. The plant can be indeterminate or semi-determinate depending on the variety and needs staking or trellises to support growth. Fruits should be harvested when fully red to ensure maximum flavor and sweetness.
How to sow Red Cherry Tomato seeds
Soak seeds in lukewarm water for 6–12 hours before sowing. Sow in seed trays at 0.5–1 cm deep, keeping the substrate moist but not waterlogged. Optimal germination occurs between 20–25 °C, with seedlings emerging in 7–14 days. Transplant when seedlings have 2–3 true leaves, leaving 40–50 cm between plants. Prefers full sun, regular watering, and light fertilization for abundant, sweet fruits.
