Bidens aurea is an annual plant producing abundant yellow flowers, highly attractive to pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Its stems are upright and branched, with pinnate green leaves that add texture to the plant.

It thrives in well-drained soils and prefers full sun, though it tolerates partial shade. Ideal for natural-style gardens, ornamental meadows, and mixed borders, it provides long-lasting color throughout the flowering season. Its resilience and ease of cultivation also make it suitable for large containers and planters.

How to sow Bidens aurea seeds

Sow seeds in trays or directly in the ground in spring after the frost risk has passed. Place the seeds on a light, moist substrate, pressing lightly without covering too much as they need some light to germinate. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Germination usually occurs in 7-14 days. When seedlings have several true leaves, transplant them leaving 25-30 cm between plants for optimal growth and abundant flowering.
