Ceratotheca triloba, commonly known as South African foxglove, is an annual plant from the plains of South Africa. The source description highlights its pink flowers and preference for a sheltered, sunny position.

It is an appealing ornamental species for adding height, soft color and a natural look to borders or large containers. As an annual, it is grown mainly for its seasonal cycle of growth and flowering.

How to sow South African foxglove seeds

Sow the seeds in a fine, loose, well-drained medium and keep it moist while seedlings establish. Place the seed tray in a bright, sheltered position.

When seedlings are large enough, acclimatize them gradually to outdoor conditions and transplant into a sunny, protected spot. Water regularly without waterlogging and avoid positions exposed to strong wind.
