Red snakefruit - Seeds

Salacca affinis, red snakefruit, is a tropical palm known for its shiny bright red fruits. The scaled surface resembles snakeskin, giving the fruit a very distinctive appearance.

This is an interesting species for collections of tropical fruiting palms. It requires warmth, stable humidity, filtered light and a well-drained medium that does not become overly dry.
