Brachychiton discolor, commonly known as the lacebark tree, is native to eastern Australia. The source information notes that it grows there in deciduous forests.

This is a species of ornamental and botanical interest, especially for growers seeking attractive Australian trees. Its origin in seasonal environments suggests a plant adapted to natural growth cycles.

How to sow lacebark tree seeds

Sow the seeds in a light mineral or organic medium with good drainage. Keep moisture moderate during establishment, avoiding a saturated growing mix.

Keep young seedlings in a bright, protected position. When transplanting, use containers that allow root development and acclimatise the plant gradually as it grows.
