Seed packet size

Santiago Turnip Greens are a turnip variety cultivated mainly for their tender leaves and stems. They feature elongated green leaves with a mild peppery flavor that softens when cooked. The plant is cold-tolerant and suitable for autumn and winter sowing, producing juicy, tender leaves. Widely used in Galician and Portuguese cuisine, ideal for soups, stews, and sautés.

How to sow Santiago Turnip Greens seeds

Sow seeds directly in the ground at 0.5-1 cm deep, in fertile, loose, well-drained soil. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Optimal germination temperature is 10-20 °C, with seeds sprouting in 7-14 days. Once seedlings have 2-3 true leaves, thin them to 20-25 cm apart. Grows quickly and prefers partial to full sun.
