Dior French Bean - Seeds
Phaseolus vulgaris 'Dior'
Early bush French bean producing long, tender yellow pods, perfect for fresh eating, freezing and preserving.
Dior French Bean is a productive bush variety of Phaseolus vulgaris, valued for its early harvest, vigorous growth and high-quality pods. The compact plants grow to around 50 cm tall, making them easy to manage and harvest.
They produce abundant bright yellow pods reaching up to 14 cm in length. The pods are tender, fleshy and full of flavour, making them ideal for fresh consumption, steaming, stir-frying, freezing or preserving.
With a growing period of approximately 60 days, this variety provides quick and reliable harvests, making it an excellent choice for home vegetable gardens.
How to sow the seeds
Sow directly outdoors after the danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed. Plant the seeds about 3-4 cm deep, spacing them approximately 10-15 cm apart with 40-50 cm between rows.
Grow in a sunny position in light or moderately heavy, fertile, loose and well-cultivated soil. Keep the soil evenly moist without waterlogging to encourage continuous production of tender pods.
