Dicentra spectabilis 'Alba', also known as the white bleeding heart, is an elegant rhizomatous perennial that can reach up to one meter in height. Its delicate white, heart-shaped flowers gracefully hang from arching stems, creating a soft and romantic display in shaded or partially shaded gardens. The finely textured, compound leaves are deciduous during winter.

Native to eastern Asia, from Siberia to southern Japan, this plant can grow in full sun in humid climates, but in warmer or drier regions, it is best grown in partial shade to avoid heat stress and to keep the soil cool. It prefers rich, well-draining soils that retain consistent moisture.
