Cyphomandra betacea
shrub or small tree originating in Peru, Bolivia and northern Argentina, also known as a tomato tree , for the resemblance of its fruit with that of the tomato. This rich edible fruit is an ovoid berry of about 8-10 cms, smooth and smooth leather, usually red, there are yellow varieties. the pulp of the tamarillo is very juicy, orange , and can be eaten raw in salads, as dessert, or cooked.
