The Egyptian Flattened Beetroot stands out for its early maturity, providing fast and uniform harvests. It produces round, slightly flattened roots, approximately 10-12 cm in diameter and 6-8 cm long. Its flesh is firm, compact, and pleasantly sweet, with a deep red color that makes it very attractive and distinctive. It is a reliable and productive variety, ideal for those looking for a high-quality beetroot with rapid growth.
How to sow Beetroot seeds
Sow the seeds directly in the soil, 1-2 cm deep, in fertile, loose, well-drained ground. Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during germination. The ideal temperature for germination is 10-25 ºC, with seedlings usually emerging in 7-15 days. When the young plants reach 5-7 cm in height, thin them out to leave 10-15 cm between each plant. To grow tender, well-sized roots, make sure they get plenty of light and regular watering.
