Meratus Alocasia - Seeds
Alocasia sp. \'Meratus\'
Alocasia sp. 'Meratus' comes from the Meratus Mountains in southeastern Borneo. As an undescribed species, it is particularly interesting for collectors of aroids and rare tropical plants.
Like many Alocasia, it is grown chiefly for its foliage and tropical presence. It appreciates warmth, humidity, filtered light and an airy, well-drained medium.
How to sow Meratus Alocasia seeds
Sow the seeds in a fine, airy, moist medium without burying them deeply. Keep the container warm with stable moisture, avoiding waterlogging. Young seedlings should be acclimated gradually and protected from cold drafts.
