Black pine - Seeds
Pinus nigra
Long-lived tree from the Mediterranean basin, with a rounded conical shape and whitish bark that appears almost silvery from a distance. It grows mainly on limestone soils, but also on siliceous ones, between 800 and 2000 meters above sea level, though it can occasionally be found at sea level. Highly resistant to wind, drought, frost, and heavy snowfall.
